Andreas Ågren

Andreas Ågren (the Å in the surname is pronounced like awe, thus the surname is pronounced aw-grehn) hadn’t made a kite until the age of 42, but became a kite addict at kite festival in Cervia together with the group Sala Kite & Tango Party, and has since then constantly designed and made kites in a somewhat unorthodox way, often with a humorous or technical twist. Many of his designs are published on his website http://windman.se

After retirement he followed his passion and emigrated to Bali, Indonesia, which, as Andreas frequently says, “has the strongest kite culture in the world”. Living in Bali gives him the opportunity to participate in kite festivals in the Asia region, which he frequently does.
