$7 per Child + Booking fee

$12 per Adult + Booking fee

$30 per Family (2 x Adults + 2 x Children OR 1 X Adult + 3 x Children) + Booking fee

$7 per Concession (Pensioner and Student concession only. Does not include Health Care Card) + Booking fee

Children 2 and under can enter KiteFest for free! They must however have still ‘purchase’ a ticket via our online ticketing platform.

**NOTE: Entry is free for carers. Tickets do not need to be pre-purchased however the carer MUST show their carer ID card at the gate, along with the ticket of the client they are attending with.

Yes, you can purchase your tickets online here. Tickets for entry to Redcliffe KiteFest can also be purchased on the day (subject to availability), and yes we do have an eftpos machine.

We accept companion cards. Alongside your purchased event ticket, present your Companion Card at the entry gates to gain your carer free entry into the festival. Your companion will not require a physical ticket.

You may have entered your email incorrectly or the automated confirmation may have been filtered to your junk mail. Please email ticketing@mbrit.com.au requesting for another confirmation email to be sent to you.

There will be limited tickets at the gate. You may miss out if you do not purchase your tickets online before the festival.

STAYING COVID-SAFE

Being COVID Safe is a shared responsibility. We want you to enjoy your day out at Redcliffe KiteFest and stay safe. Please follow COVID Safe practices when attending this year's Redcliffe KiteFest.

  • If you are feeling unwell or have a cough, sore throat, fever, fatigue or shortness of breath, please do not attend Redcliffe KiteFest.
  • If you have been in contact with a person with a known positive case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days please stay at home.
  • If you have been tested for COVID-19 and are waiting the results please stay at home.
  • If you have traveled overseas or a known hotspot and are require to quarantine under laws aimed for reducing the spread of COVID-19 please stay at home.

At the Festival

No. You cannot bring alcohol into the festival.

Yes! We have two ATM machines located around the festival, one just inside the main entrance gates and one just outside the rides area.

Restricted or banned items include:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Pepper spray/mace
  • Alcohol
  • Illicit Substances
  • Fireworks and Flares
  • Glass bottles
  • Any other items deemed to be unsuitable by event staff
  • Electric scooters, skateboards and bikes. Mobility devices and aids are fine.

Any person or persons found within the event area in the possession of any of the above items will be removed from the site.

There will be a designated Parents Room located in the UniSC Kids Zone. Facilities include baby change facilities, comfy chairs for breastfeeding and a microwave.

No. There are no cloak room facilities at Redcliffe KiteFest.

No. No matter how cute they are or how much they beg you to come, Redcliffe KiteFest has a strict no-dog or any domestic pets’ policy. Please leave your fur-babies and other pets at home.

Assistance dogs are permitted.

Yes. However, please do not bring anything in glass.

If you've lost an item during the day at Redcliffe KiteFest, please head to the information tent behind the Main Stage. If the item is not there, we ask that you leave your phone number with staff and a description of the lost item. We often come across lost property after the event has closed for the day.

Lost property is kept by Redcliffe KiteFest staff at their Head Office at 433 Elizabeth Ave, Kippa-Ring, QLD, for a period of four weeks. Please call 07 3453 1400 post KiteFest to see if we have your lost item.

Yes! Festival patrons can leave the event and re-enter ON THE SAME DAY. The gate security guard will attach the wrist band for you.

KiteFest is a go unless we advise otherwise on the website, email or via social media.

There is little shade provided near the Main Stage area and table spaces are out in the open. Unfortunately windy conditions of the festival, make it to dangerous to have umbrellas available. There is ample shade to enjoy your lunch around the main kite display arena.

Yes. We have two designated areas for smokers and vapers. One by the boat ramp and the other on the roadside event boundary, adjacent to the Kite Flying Arena. Please visit the Information Tent behind the Main Stage if you are finding it difficult to locate.

You can only vape in our allocated smoking areas.

Whilst none of the festival's performances contain flash photography or strobing lights we need to advise that their may be instances of this from other patrons at the festival with cameras etc.

Yes, there will be amplified sound and music on and around our Main Stage and Kids Stages.

No, however some of our performances will be using bubbles.

Electric scooters, bikes, skateboards and similar devices used for leisure will not be permitted at the festival.

Devices and vehicles used for mobility aid, however, are welcomed and permitted.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

Our whole precinct is accessible, excluding a few activations (such as pony rides) and our amusement rides.

Wheelchair and pedestrian ramps have previously been installed throughout the event site in areas with limited access.

There will also be limited accessible parking available at Pelican Park. Accessible parking permits are a must for this zone!

Please show traffic controllers your permit upon entry. There will also be a designated drop off zone here for those not looking at parking for the event.

Yes. There are actually three accessible toilets spread throughout the festival grounds.

Interpreting services will be provided during some Main Stage entertainment. These services will be provided during some of the kids performances. Please check our full program for list of shows with these services.

Yes! Redcliffe KiteFest has arranged for a FREE event shuttle bus service. All shuttle buses are wheelchair and pram friendly. Details on this service can be found HERE.

The Pelican Park car park will be reserved for people with valid accessible parking permits. Local community group traffic personnel will manage this car park providing access to patrons showing a valid permit.

An accessible drop off zone is available at the main entry gate.

Changed local conditions

The Pelican Park Boat Ramp will be closed prior to and during the Redcliffe KiteFest.

Boat Ramp Closure:

  • Alternate boat ramps include Crockatt Park, Margate Beach, Queens Beach North, Scarborough Marina

  • Hornibrook Esplanade speed change from 60km down to 40km from 7am Saturday 16th-4:30pm Sunday 17th September 2023

    • Thomas Street (No Stopping- western side from Hornibrook Esplanade to Gerald Avenue)
    • Belvedere Street (No Stopping - northern side from Thomas Street to Elizabeth Avenue)
    • Yacht Street (No Stopping - western side from Hornibrook Esplanade to Gerald Avenue)
    • Young & Lane Streets (No Stopping - eastern or western sides from Hornibrook Esplanade to Robert Street)
    • Roland Street (No Stopping - nothern or southern side from Elizabeth Avenue to Hornibrook Esplanade)
    • Thompson Crescent (No Stopping - northern side from Hornibrook Esplanade to Hornibrook Esplanade)
